In addition to the art, there will be a hands-on art-making area with art projects for all. Family-friendly activities like Art Fest Bingo will add to the fun. Live music throughout the festival will add to the weekend. The festival is wheel-friendly for strollers, scooters, and wheelchairs too.
The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation hosts the 4th of July celebration on Silver Spring Drive, and it would not be summer in WFB without the annual Whitefish Bay 4th of July celebration. The parade starts at 11:30 am at the corner of Kent and Silver Spring Dr and heads east to Lake Drive then north to Klode Park. Following the parade, join friends, family, and neighbors at Klode Park for an afternoon of food, kid’s activities, and live music. The fireworks display starts at 9:20 pm.
Remember your chairs and blankets to watch the fireworks.
The Merchants of Whitefish Bay team up with the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation to host this awesome event. Enjoy the last lazy days of summer at the Sounds of Summer Concert on Silver Spring Drive. Silver Spring is closed from Hollywood Blvd. to Santa Monica Blvd. starting at 11:00 am. Bring your chairs, table cloths, and make it a picnic.
The last Saturday of October is when Silver Spring turns into a howling good time, with many of the merchants handing out candy to kids and their families from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. We then encourage you to stop at the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation’s Great Pumpkin display at School House Park before or after Trick or Treating. Ghouls and goblins fill the street for the annual event (insert extended wolf howl here)!
Our biggest event. It is always the Friday after Thanksgiving. It starts with businesses offering specials during the day for Black Friday and then ending the night with a Holiday Parade, which includes Santa. Businesses along the street offer hot cider, hot chocolate, activities for families, including free pony rides and train rides for the kids, and Nutcracker Ballet Dancers from the Milwaukee School of Ballet that perform in some storefront windows. Following the parade, there is the Holiday Tree Lighting with the WFBHS Choir singing songs.
2020 included ‘Ice Sculpture Demonstrations’ and an ‘Ice Sculpture Crawl’ where families could stroll Silver Spring Drive and enjoy over 15 Ice Sculptures from the various merchants!
