Whitefish Bay Art Fest

Award-winning art festival production company, Amdur Productions, announces the return of the Whitefish Bay Art Fest in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin.

Hosted by the Merchants of Whitefish Bay, the festival will be held on the closed streets of the bustling downtown district of the city on Silver Spring Drive. Original artworks will be available as artist booths stretch down a beautiful tree-lined intersection near a multitude of popular cafes, boutiques, and salons. Featuring 100 juried artists from across the country, art is available for purchase in a variety of mediums including  paintings, ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, drawings, photography, printmaking, wood, and furniture. The festival will take place Saturday, July 13, and Sunday, July 14, from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm both days. Admission is FREE, and street parking will be available!

“Due to the popularity of our other Wisconsin art festival, we knew it was time to expand our offerings and create a second family-friendly event for Wisconsin residents to enjoy this summer,” says Amy Amdur, president of Amdur Productions, producer of the Whitefish Bay Art Fest. “The support of the Merchants of Whitefish Bay, along with the exciting atmosphere of downtown Whitefish Bay and its close proximity to both Chicago and Milwaukee made it the ideal location for this art show!”

The 4th of July

The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation kicks off the 4th of July festivities on Silver Spring Drive. The parade starts at 11:30 am at the corner of Kent and Silver Spring Dr and heads east to Lake Drive then north to Klode Park. Following the parade, join friends, family, and neighbors at Klode Park for an afternoon of food, kid’s activities, and live music. The fireworks display starts at 9:20 pm.

The Sidewalk Sale

The longstanding tradition of the Whitefish Bay Sidewalk Sale has grown to a full-on event, featuring great shopping and super deals on distinctive merchandise. Join us and bring your family, friends, and neighbors on Friday, July 26 and Saturday, July 27. Enjoy great outdoor fun for all ages at our Adventure Zone on Saturday.

Sounds of Summer

Presented by the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation. Enjoy the last lazy days of summer at the Sounds of Summer Concert on Silver Spring Drive on Saturday, August 17. Silver Spring is closed from Hollywood Blvd. to Santa Monica Blvd. starting at 11:00 am. Bring your chairs, table cloths, and make it a picnic.

Fall

Trick or Treat/Halloween

The last Saturday of October is when Silver Spring turns into a howling good time, with many of the merchants handing out candy to kids and their families from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. We then encourage you to stop at the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation’s Great Pumpkin display at School House Park before or after Trick or Treating. Ghouls and goblins fill the street for the annual event (insert extended wolf howl here)!

Winter

Holiday Stroll

Our biggest event of the season is held the Friday after Thanksgiving. It starts with businesses offering specials during the day for Black Friday and then ending the night with a Holiday Parade ending with Santa. Businesses along the street offer hot cider, hot chocolate and activities for families. Following the parade, there is the Holiday Tree Lighting with the WFBHS Choir singing carols and Fresh Coast Dancers performing.

There are events throughout the holiday season! Visit our calendar of events for details.

Spring

Green Day in the Bay Day

A fun, family-friendly event that promotes environmental awareness, water conservation and sustainable living through how-to clinics, hands on learning, professional exhibits and much more. After you recycle unwanted items at Recycle Day and participate in Run the Bay, gather at Klode Park and leave only footprints as you stroll through the Eco-Fair.
